Blood is drawn from the patient and platelets are separated from the rest of the blood components by a process called centrifugation. The PRP is then further separated to create a more concentrated version with platelets and growth factors. This is then injected into the skin. The platelets accelerate the normal healing process and produce new collagen in the injected area.
